Arrive at the airport and head to Kargil, which is roughly 205 kilometers away from Srinagar. On the way, make a lunch stop at the Sonamarg Valley of Meadows before crossing the 3900-meter-high Zojila Pass. After traveling for a while, arrive at Drass Village, which is reportedly the second-coldest place on Earth after Siberia in Russia. You will arrive at Kargil town by nightfall; once there, settle into a hotel or luxurious camp.

The trip to Leh, which is 230 kilometers from Kargil town, begins after breakfast. While traveling, stop by Mulbekh village to see the historic rock-cut statue of Maitreya Buddha. Later, take a picture of the lunar-like scenery close to Lamayuru Monastery. Enjoy a delectable lunch and stop for pictures at the Sangam of Indus and Zanskar rivers on route. Drive to Pangong Lake via Sheyok after breakfast. When you get to Pangong Lake, proceed to the shooting point of three idiots. Take group pictures while exploring the lake. Afterwards, travel to Spangmik village and settle into the camp you reserved on the Pangong Lake shore. There will be dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Drive back to Leh after breakfast, over the Chang-la Pass (altitude: 17370 feet). Visit Sindu Ghat, Rancho School, Thiksey Monastery, and Shey Palace en route. Before you depart Leh, make a last-minute stop at the market to shop. Purchase gifts for your loved ones.
